Thanks for stopping by! My name is Katherine Dee (she/her), I am 20 years old, and I am currently a junior at James Madison University studying musical theatre. I was born and raised in the South Shore of Massachusetts, a little bit South of Boston. Growing up watching movie musicals with my Nana, by the time I watched Julie Andrews sing about her “Favorite Things”, I was hooked. When I brought home the permission slip for my afterschool drama club and handed it to my dad, he asked, “are you sure you want to audition for the play?” to which I responded, “Dad… is that even a question!?” Even as an 8 year old, there was no doubt in my mind that the stage would be my happy place, and I have not left it since.

As a true extrovert, I get so much joy from connecting with people. I walk through life with a lot of optimism, joy, gratitude, and laughter (and a lot of iced coffee!) When I am not performing, you will likely find me going for ocean-side drives with my sister, baking cookies for my roommates, or enjoying my cherished “back porch time” with my best friends.

I feel passionately that storytelling is rooted in everything that I do, whether I am performing in a 2 hour play, singing a beautiful soprano ballad, or working on a new dance combo. It is a privilege to get to explore the human experience through this art form that I have fallen so deeply in love with. I pride myself on my work ethic and am always excited to have the opportunity to try something new.
